medini Collaboration / MBSE server installation
Hello, As there is interest to trial features of the Ansys MBSE server at Rheinmetall, here is some more information: The MBSE server contains three applications - always installed together, but not all have to be used medini Collaboration server - possibility to share medini projects via the server, so that medini client users can connect to it and work together on projects, including also versioning of project baselines. Usage is included in the medini licenses (with maintenance), no additional cost SAM (Safety Architecture Modeler) - SysML 2.0 architecture modelling tool, successor of SCADE Architect. Completely web based, with import possibility in medini. Usage is included in the medini licenses (with maintenance, per-user licenses, but enough should be included in medini licenses), no additional cost. Standalone SAM licenses (apart from medini) possible. DSM (Digital Safety Manager) - planning tool for safety (or cybersecurity) activities. Completely web based, with some integration towards medini. Separate license model. Release of the server was 4th October, together with medini 2023 R2.1 Usage is currently possible with on-premise installations (for trial or productively). Web-based access (via internet, e.g. for trials) is planned for later. Roll-out is happening in phases, so immediate installation is currently not possible at Rheinmetall (as of 12th Oct 2023).
