Rheinmetall template updates
Hi, In this first post of this topic you will find the latest Rheinmetall template, together with the release notes (i.e. change log). The template is currently provided as a 2023 R1 project (v2023-03-06 and earlier are for 2022 R1, but can be migrated to newer medini versions as well). For any questions/comments, please post a reply here (short question) or in a separate forum topic (for anything, which might result in a slightly longer discussion). - v2023-04-25 - NH (mostly RLS, RPS, RLS ILS requests) - Template was migrated to medini version 2023 R1 - Note: Risk rating is now calculated if at least one severity column (not all four) plus probability are filled. - RLS additions - Special HazLog (PHA/HazLog/SV&V) solution added for RLS, using "Failure Modes" instead of Impacts, and supporting use of catalog HazLog re-use. Dedicated RLS layouts provided for PHA/HazLog/SV&V. - Support scripts for this solution (start by either selecting HazLog line in Model browser, or activate in-table execution via Preferences > Scripting > Support script execution in tables - note that you have to execute in context menu of a _text column_ like the Haz ID, not any object in the table!): - RLS > Set HazLog line to Catalog data: Takes data from linked Catalog HazLog line and copies it into current HazLog line. Usage: 1. Create a new line in the PHA (plus button at the right) 1. Select a catalog line in the selection dialog (or first skip with Esc) for "Derived from Catalog Entry" 1. Select one or multiple PHA lines (in the table or the model browser) and execute the script via context menu 1. All relevant data is filled (selection of columns, not pre-filling project severity/probability columns) - RLS > Split HazLog line for Failure Modes: Splits all selected rows for any combinations of "Failure Mode" and "Affected Humans" entries. Other data of the PHA is cloned. Usage: 1. Do all necessary selections in the columns "Failure Mode" and "Affected Humans" 1. Select one or multiple PHA lines (in the table or the model browser) and execute the script via context menu 1. PHA lines are cloned for each combination, "Failure Mode" and "Affected Humans" are filled with single values each, Haz ID suffixed accordingly - Probability catalog column available based on "Derived from Catalog Entry" - RLS initial M2Doc reports added in package Reporting - RPS additions - HazLog: Selected SIL directed to BAAINBW High Demand (currently hard-coded - let us know if others are required as well). Low Demand deleted (not used, computation not as simple as so far modelled). Layouts separated to SIL BAAINBW and SIL IEC61508 - Mitigations/Requirements: SIL of HazLog entries (using the mitigation) column added - RLS ILS additions - Project Settings > FMEA > Risk Classification: Adapted for ILS FMECA use (please re-set with the pre-sets, if you need to use the classifications for other FMEA) - Profiling added for FMECA at Failure Mode, Measure and Element (and of course the FMEA sheet elements) - FMECA package added with contents (as per trial in evaluation), plus system design "RLS ILS demo architecture" - v2023-03-06 - NH (mostly RPS requests) - HazLog: "Severity" column added for pre- and post-mitigation risk rating. If filled, then the (four) individual severity columns (crew, public, ...) are overwritten. This can be used to have only a single severity input, more aligned with standard MIL-STD-882E - HazLog: Specific RPS risk rating added, can be selected in the project's profile property "Risk Level Calculation Method" - HazLog: Introduction of "Operating Modes" column, which is connected via a matrix to (lifecycle) phases, which are shown in column "Lifecycle Phases from OpModes" (the matrix can be configured in CustomRiskLevel.js). If severity is decided based on these phases, then another rationale column ("Rationale for worst case severity from phase") can be used to document the decisions. - HazLog: Level names re-added to single-column severity and probability input columns, for easier recognition, also if used for alternate calculation methods - v2023-03-01 - NH (mostly RLS requests) - HazLog: "HL Munition" layout added from RWM - HazLog: Renamed previous rating "catalog" to "default" settings (avoid confusion with catalog HazLog collections) - HazLog: Provision to create a "Catalog HazLog/PHA", from which project-specific HazLogs are derived. Catalog package with HazLog and Collections created. Added HazLog column "Derived from Catalog Entry" (by default hidden) to reference catalog entry, added column "Descriptions from Catalog Entry" (by default hidden) to see description/context of the referenced catalog entry. - How to use: 1) Duplicate entry in Catalog HazLog (button on the right), 2) move duplicated entry to project HazLog, 3) add reference to original Catalog HazLog entry. Note: Script is planned, waiting for suitable script library - HazLog: Default (before: catalog) impact severities column now uses worst case severity in case of multiple impacts - References: Checklist template for document references added. - Mitigations/Requirements: Columns added for referring to document references, and for "verified by reference". Column "Verification Status" added (checks for full verification - see tooltip for rules) - HazLog: "Mitigation Overall Status" now relies upon "Verification Status" of the individual mitigations - HazLog: Phases extended (by Transport "log."/"tact."). Phases can now also be defined for the Hazards (in their collection) and shown in the HazLog (column is hidden by default, please active if needed) - HazLog: Multi-selection field "Category" added (column is hidden by default, please active if needed) - v2022-12-15 - NH - PHA: The PHA has been renamed to "Hazard Log", as it may be initially a PHA, but with more work it will become the final analysis. - PHA: "Hazard List" view now without Sticky Columns, to avoid difficult re-sizing of columns on smaller screens - PHA: Layouts changed to "List View", as this allows more easy sorting/adding and is easier to start with - PHA: Added (by default hidden) column "Subitems", which shows all the elements below the selected item(s).r This eases filtering for "affected by change of item" hazard lines - Reliability Prediction: Columns for Decision/Variables/Scaling added (can be optionally shown) for easy exporting of reliability prediction decisions from medini to Excel - Support for propagation of "Maximum SIL" from PHA lines (type HazardousEvent) to derived properties of - Hazards (type Malfunction) via reference column in the PHA - Functions via traces to/from PHA lines - SysML Elements via allocations from Functions to SysML Elements Note: Overview of functions and SysML elements is available in "Functions/Components Lists" (FMEAs with a column for max SIL) Note: This allows for a workflow starting from a functional tree, defining SIL in PHA and checking max SIL for components (and their respective development teams)
