Increase Heap space?

Hi Mattias,     Yes, if you have more than 4GB RAM available on your computer, you can increase the maximum memory used by medini, e.g. to slightly below your total installed RAM. For this, you will need to change the mediniAnalyze.ini, which is stored in e.g. "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Germany GmbH\medini analyze 2021 R2\Program\mediniAnalyze.ini" (depends on the installation directory - within Program Files you'll need Administrator rights for this).   In this file, replace the line "-Xmx3G" to (e.g on a 8GB RAM computer) "-Xmx7G" - then it uses 7GB. Note: This has to be re-done after installation of a new major version of medini.     This is also described in the help: Ansys medini™ analyze User Guide > Additional Information > Out Of Memory.     With the upcoming 2022R2, the default setting will change from 3GB to 80% of the physical RAM size (using up to 30GB - beyond that the -Xmx setting is still required).     Regards,  Nils
