Importing Excel based FMEDA in medini

Question

Hi  I wanted to import excel based FMEDA in medini. I tried the import feature (screenshot attached below for reference) but it didn't provide much flexibility for import in terms of various sections for import like failure modes, effects, safety mechanisms.  Can you provide some insight regarding this aspect.          Regards  Aditya Khandelwal

Hi Aditya,      the medini model would expect a BOM List to be imported at this level. As this is could be mapped with a previously described part of a part library based using the part number... You may end up with a flat list of parts that have already their failure rate and failure modes and are located below the component. The idea here is not to import whole FMEDAs. You can see an example in the HW Architecture of the ESL example that is available via Help>Examples>Load ESL.        BR  Joël
