Create a SoC FTA by Connecting a few IP FTA in different projects.

Hello,  I have a design built with a number of IPs and each IP has its own FTA in its own Medini project. I would like to create a SoC FTA by connecting IP FTA top events from different projects with transfer gates. For example, there are three IPs, A, B and C. The FTA for A is created in Medini project A. The FTA for B is created in Medini project B, and the FTA for C is created in project C. I am thinking that my SoC level FTA could have top event and intermediate events. One of these intermediate event should be the top event in the project A and another intermediate event should be the top event in the project B. I don't want to import all of project A and project B into my SoC FTA project. what is the best way to accomplish this?     Thanks,  Judy

Dear Judy,      currently the best way to exchange FTA models between multiple projects is to use our Compare&Merge capabilities inside medini. Then you may built the connections between the FTA models inside one project as Eckhardt described before.   Can you please raise this topic at the next NXP/medini meeting. This would allow us and the development team to understand the use case better and maybe discuss some corner cases.      Best regards  Joël

Hi Judy,     such cross-project references are in our planning. Howeve, I can not yet tell, which medini version will support it. Until then the only option is to merge the content of the indivisula projects into a single project and then do the FTA connections in that project.  Best regards,  Eckhardt
