Feature request for FTA

Question

Upon checking recent project, It was identified that project owner has not followed all the rules for creating an unique event. which lead to an end result of several hundred base events with same id for multiple events or multiple ID for a same event. Which turns out to be big clean up project.     Proposal: To have prompt dialogue box which warn/prevent user who try to create a similar event in diagrams under same project. This proposed feature is already available in some conventional FTA tools.      Also suggest me if there is another way to prevent such mistakes early enough.

Hi Krasimira,  if I'm reading the question of Janmey right, the question is not about creating MOEs but rather renumbering the events to carry unique IDs. For the latter a script is shared somewhere on the scripting forum, if I remember correctly.  Apart from that, I have scripted creation of MOEs. Thank you Janmey, this is indeed a good proposal. Typically medini foresees, that the events are created based on architecture, which means, that the MOE will be automatically created. If you have a component with failure modes and drag and drop on a FTA, this will create a small subtree for the block and the failure modes with OR gate. If dragging and dropping the same element again, this will create automatically a MOE. The idea based on the ID we used before, but some customers need to be able to have different events, even with same id, e.g. on import.     The idea that you transform all events with the same ID to a MOE can be done today with a script. I'm currently not sure,  Peter Ploß have it maybe already. I will check on our side and come back to you.
