Data Exchange between Sherlock and medini analyze
medini_1026949627
We at ZF have specified a HW Part Library based on the new IEC standard. Next step is the import of HW part data into this library. Up to now I was using the CSV import for importing most of the HW data (part#, name, oder code,...). However, the type of component according to the IEC standard had to be assigned manually. In an ZF internal Skype meeting it has been mentioned that ANSYS is providing an tool named Sherlock which is in use at ZF and covers all that information we need for the HW Part Library. Is there any possibility for a data exchange between Sherlock and medini analyze? - by using export to CSV/Excel from Sherlock - interface between Sherlock and medini analyze I am looking forward to your answers Kind regards Günter Gäbelein

Hi Günter, Sherlock is indeed a tool we are looking at for a future integration. How would you expect an integration to look like? Would you like to volunteer as a beta tester once, we have sth. to share? BR Joël

Hi Joel, yes I would like to be a volunteer as a beta tester. When do you think the testing will start? Our special interest in interfacing between Sherlock and medini analyze is to use as much as automation for the HW part library in medini analyze. For the library we need failure rates and failure modes. The following solutions would work for us and save much time: Sherlock provides failure rates according to SN29500 at reference conditions (40°C) + failure modes. The problem here is that SN29500 does not provide failure modes and we would prefer to use the ZF specified failure modes (validated by TÜV). Sherlock provides failure rates according to SN29500 at reference conditions (40°C) + type of component according to SN29500. Here we could assign the failure modes specified in the failure mode library (already specified) via script to the components. Sherlock provides the type of component according to SN29500 or IEC61709 Here we could assign the failure rates and failure modes specified in the failure mode library (already specified) via script to the components. All tree above mentioned solutions would be major step forward. However, this will work only if the Information needed is already available in Sherlock. Can you provide some more information to Sherlock? At the moment I only know the name of the tool.

Strich in meinem Post vom 01.04.).
