Display Hardware Metrics of Each Block in FMEDA

Hello Jan,

Is there any method to display every block's  Total Failure Rate/Single Point Faults Metrics\Latent Faults Metrics rather than only a summary metrics  in FMEDA?

Hello Eckhardt,

we have the same situation. But I do not understand why it is so complex. We have a tree model and if you select a non-leave element, it should be basically a recursive function, summing up numbers and doing some maths to calculate the metrics. This could be also performed for each safety goal with a combined text output. Do I miss something? Is it more than that?

Hi Qianqian,

so I suppose you want to aggregate for the each block these numbers based on the HW Parts belonging to that block (and related numbers)?

Currently this is not possible - please keep in mind that it would also not be just a single number for Single Point and  another one for Latent Faults as the Worksheet may have individual evaluations for different safety goals and also contain multiple variants. Potentially you would have for each SG and Variant combination a different value. Moreover, it must be made clear, whether the values for the block are just summing-up the numbers of it's contained parts or whether the cause-effect chains should be taken into account.

In general this could all be achieved by scripting (as soon as the policies mentioned above are clear) - but it may become rather comples script.
