check if a string is empty?

Hello,

I have another simple syntax question, how can I test if a text field is empty vs populated in m2doc? I have the following if statement, which is true for all intermediate nodes regardless whether there is text in my_text_field or not. I only want to "do some stuff" if there is text in the text field. 

{m:if
e.effectiveKind = FTA::EventType::INTERMEDIATE AND e.my_text_field = ''}

do some stuff

{m:endif}

I have tried ->isEmpty(), <> null, and other random syntax guesses with no success so far. Is AND the incorrect syntax maybe?

Hi Erin,

I am not sure myself why = '' does not work. Anyway, checking the OCL guide at  Acceleo/OCL Operations Reference - Eclipsepedia I tested size() and that actually worked for me as expected, so

e.my_text_field.size() = 0 should be the same as "is empty"
