Pure variant and Birt designer

Hello,

Now the variability of our projects is based on Pure-variant addon. How can I use it through Birt designer?

When we select the variant we want, the Birt generation works fine only for the opened diagram (meaning that the element of the diagram are hidden well ONLY when the diagram is opened prior to the report generation. Otherwise it does not work and the diagram is 120%).

How should I proceed for making those two addon working together?

I think the idea is that you always derive a variant project and then generate the report in that project.

There is no specific support to generate a variant report out of a 150% model yet.

I have contacted pure-systems that provide pure variant add-on. They have an add-on to make the link between Birt and pure variant in order to generate report associated to a given variant.

But I have an error when I try to install it. Can you help me on that or should I raise a support ticket?

Ah, I was not fully aware of that addon. So you install *our* pure addon and *our* BIRT addon and oures BIRT extension?

I have installed Medini pure addon, Medini Birt addon.

Now I try to install the Pure addon "Pure variant for Birt designer" provided by Pure-systems.

But I have this error during the installation. Maybe it is version mismatch?

Romain, that does not look good. Seems we face a version mismatch here.

I do not see a quick solution here. Besides the version conflict of the bundles I do now know how pure hooks into BIRT for "variant reports". I think I need to check out first.

Any idea for a script (temporary solution) to open all the diagrams of a given project (and limited to a specific kind e.g. FSC diagrams)?

Sure, you may use the finder to find all diagrams, then filter them by "modelId" or "editorId" (see also diagram.js)

In ui.js you will find an openEditor function that you can use on the diagram.

Romain, I can confirm that PV 5.0.9 is bundling BIRT 4.7 while we bundle 4.11. Still no news on how to resolve that conflict. Jan

Sorry Romain, that one slipped.

Have you tried to use "openEditor" from ui.js? Its basically to open a semantic element, so any object *on* a diagram but I think it should work for the PJDiagram as well.

I quickly tested on my end and it workd.
