The .rptdesign file of "Generate Table Report"

Hi Jan,

On most of the table-type worksheet in medini, we can generate a generic table report by clicking the "Generate Table Report" icon on the top right:

Can I find the .rptdesign file of this report inside the medini installation directory?

Would like to study it for the reporting script I'm working on.

Hi Chi-Seng,

that's indeed possible. The file is named "generic_table.rptdesign" and can be found in the de.ikv.analyze.reporting plugin folder (reports sub-folder).

You may study it but keep in mind that this is a kind of special report design, the internal medini function *dynamically * extends this design to create columns for each column in the table editor.

However, you also can modify and change the design file (there should be another article here somewhere for a related use case), can't find it right now.

Make sure you have a backup copy!
