Using the Project Report Wizard to generate FMEDA/DC reports

Hi all,

I would find the general "Generate Project Reports" function quite good, you get Everything in a neat package, if it wasn't for one thing that I can't get to work. Our architecture is modeled as hierarchical, but the DC report does not show the "leaf" failure modes that are more than one level down. Does anyone know it this is somehow custimizable? I'm able to generate a Table Report directly from the Worksheet, then everything is shown, but I would love if it could also be done in "Generate Project Reports".

Hi Mattias,

thanks for the images. I at least found out the following: if you generate the normal Excel table report, the editor is typically open so the report looks like the open table.

The project report is typically generated having no editor open, because: not required. However, the result of some tables (especially the DC table) is different if the table is open or not! So please open the respective DC table editor and then generate the project report again.

Hope that solves your issue (although its a bit strange and smells like a defect)

Hello Jan,

The first screenshot is from an Excel port generated using "Generate Table Report". It contains the potential failures on every level in the architecture. (Btw I have used the script suggested in this thread and it works fine.) The second screenshot is from an Excel port generated using "Generate Project Reports". It removes all the potential failures that are more than one level down. My question is whether it is possible to tweak the depth of the "Generate Project Reports" output. I understand that it is a more automatic way of doing it, but I really like the way all the reports are packaged together.

I do not recall any twist here, but I am unsure I got the problem right.

Do you have a screenshot of the report you get from "Project Report" and from direct reporting?
