Updates on latest scripting libraries

Question

As proposed by Florent in the article Where to have a clear view of latest shared js file ? we introduced a separate page that outlines all libraries and their latest change and publish date. Unfortunately its not possible to observe changes or receive notifications on the page so I created this article and suggest to follow this one instead.

I will post short updates on changes here in this article.

The last change on the excel.js library was fixing a bug in case the callback object was defined inside of another scope, so for example within a function. Like

function doMyImport() {
 var callback = ....
}

doMyImport();

Hi Marian,

yes (thinking) and yes (considering git) and yes (there was some reasoning not to do it yet).

However, those reasons are outdated and need to be reconsidered after we became Synopsys.

Hi Jan & Co,

I have a simple question. I wanted to ask whether you have been thinking or considering that all the library related  files could be actually residing on a GIT ?

I ;earned that ANSYS has a git-hub space space where it stores most of the  Python related scripts (MIT license)

Since you decided to have them here I guess there was some reasoning behind that made you decide not-to use the git-hub repository,right ?

Hi Folks,

another year has begun and ... I updated the scripting libraries, mainly the factory.js and the finderEx.js libraries. Both are now ready for 2020 R1, the next major version to come supporting new concepts as Limitations, Triggering Conditions but also Cybersecurity as Vulnerabilities, Threats and Attacks.

Both libraries should be backward compatible, means they can be used in any medini version you like, even in versions before 2020 R1. The library should take care that only available concepts are considered.

Watch out for more updates on 2020 R1 scripting over the next weeks.
