Scripting - parameter evaluatedFor is needed

Question

Hi,I need the size of dc.DCFailureModeEntry "evaluatedFor" for a script As long as there is an entry, everything runs fine, but as soon evaluatedFor is <not set> (In Worksheet, the evaluation Group is "all SGs") I get the failure "cannot read from undifined"
I tried with if(evaluationFor){eFSize = evaluationFor.size();}But it will be ignored
How would it work?

evaluatedFor should be treated like any other. The error was elsewhere.

One more clarification,

according to the Meta-model guide the dc Failure Mode entry has an attribute evaluatedFor => it is a fixed attribute is existing regardless of the worksheet settings. the DC worksheet table editor just renders the content of the cell depending on the worksheet configuration and the failure mode/component configuration

So I would rather suggest the test if the object is of a required metaclass;

//batch script test the metaclass
 if (!(obj == undefined) && obj instanceof Metamodel.dc.DCFailureModeEntry){
 var temp = obj.evaluatedFor.size()

} else {
//not a DCFalureModeEntry
//...
}

Note: when in derived property defined for dc.DCFailureModeEntry => self == FailureModeEntry => no need of test the self.

Hi Lisa,

If I understood well your inquiry, you have to test first if the

failure mode has an "evaluation groups" list at all.

They do not have if they show "all SGs".

You could try something like:

myEGSize=0;

if (dc.DCFailureModeEntry.evaluatedFor != undefined) {

myEGSize=dc.DCFailureModeEntry.evaluatedFor.size();

}

And use myEGSize for further processing.
