"Arrange All" for FTA Diagram

Hello,
Is there a possibility to perform a "Arrange All" for FTA Diagrams with JavaScript?
I have a huge number of FTA Diagrams (more than 1000, which have been automatically generated) which I want to arrange. Doing this by hand is a pain.
I assume that I first have to open the diagram, right? Is there a a method/function available for that?

I checked several Ansys scripts in the library and I think the following objects could help

var DiagramImageEditPart = bind("de.ikv.medini.cockpit.gmf", "de.ikv.medini.cockpit.gmf.edit.parts.DiagramImageEditPart",false);
de/ikv/medini/cockpit/gmf/commands/MediniArrangeCommand

but without access to source code it is difficult to “play around” with them.

One remark I first tried to implement with focus to perform ArrangeAll. This action does not need any target elements to be arranged.

The first argument (list of elements) was intended to also support arrangeSelected where the elements in the list will be assumed as elements that supposed to be selected.

The list should contain objects form a model browser that are represented as shapes on given diagram and the part of the function shall find the correct objects for the arrangeSelected request.

But I did not ge to finalizing this feature yet (TODO).

Hi Michael, interesting use case.

There is at least a way to open the diagram editor, see the ui.js library, function is openEditor.

However, this will probabaly only open the default diagram, if you have multiple diagrams for a semantic element it will not be sufficient and need to be extended.

To auto-arrange the diagram I will have to dig a bit deeper myself, I dont say its impossible but triggering a diagram action once the diagram is opened (asynchronously) might be tricky.

Will keep you updated.

If I may I have introduced function to be part of my extended ui.js

it works for any closed or open diagram ( FTA sysml, ..).

IT serves the purpose enables also to provide optional argument to define all or "selected" objects.

Thanks a lot for the quick help. This is exactly what I have been looking for.
I integrated your code into a small script, where I can select a single diagram or a complete FTA model.
One minor note: maybe you can add somewhere that getAllDiagrams() from diagram.js could be used to get the first parameter for arrangeObjectsOnDiagramm().
