If you have a project, which developed over time and you are not happy with the various types of ID numbers, you can use the attached script to renumber them, in accordance with the current auto-counter patterns.
To be able to use different numbering patterns per model (e.g. for different kind of requirements), please see the "Complex example 2" in this solution article.
Note: If you want to avoid "holes" in the numbering, renumber twice with the script: First with a start number of e.g. 1000 (larger than your maximum ID), then with a start number of 1.
Features:
* Scope of the renumbering is any number of selected models (e.g. FTA model, requirements model ...)
* Any kind of elements are renumbered
* No duplications due to usage of "Avoid Duplicates" feature of the auto-counter.
* Script asks for a "start number" for the renumbering (default 1)
The script uses the libraries ui.js and findexEx.js in the .lib subfolder - please make sure you have the latest version from here .
