Access Codebeamer fields in mapping script

Hello Scripting Community,

I would like to make a simple script that filters items which are read from trackers. Basically, I want to achieve the same behaviour as introduced in case of PTC (see intergrity.js). There I see the attributes of the PTC object can be access easily by iterating through "element.values", but I haven't found anything like that for Codebeamer objects.

What can be accessed are the following, but only getField() seems useful.

The getField() function requires "FieldQuery" and returns "FieldQueryResult" but I couldn't figure out how to use these.

de.ikv.analyze.adapter.codebeamer.core.entity.fields.FieldQueryResult getField(de.ikv.analyze.adapter.codebeamer.core.entity.fields.FieldQuery)

Is this approach a deadend? What can you recommend how to proceed?

Hello Krisztian,

there are basically just two query types, by-name and by-id. I improve dthe script library so it supports both. Seee the two examples.

You basically need the codebeame rid for a field for by-id.

And yes, you can us other field types, I added all supported codebeamer types (at least what the API supports).

They are commented, you need to uncomment and pass as second "type" parameter.

Hello Krisztian,

at first glance I thought indeed that is a deadend, and too complicated for scripting. I also recognized that we dont have any codebeamer.js library floating around in this board, so similar to the mentioned integrity.js.

I started one and voila, had to use getField(). I at least managed to get hands on text values, wich I think is what you need. See my attached library, usage should be as for the other connectors.

Selector script may look like this:

mappedSelector="/* $EXPERIMENTAL$ */ load('codebeamer.js'); dump(element); true;"

Thank you for the quick response, makes sense now.

As I am looking at your script, I am wondering:

- What other types of FieldQueries can I bind besides "NameBasedFieldQuery" if there is any?

- Can I utilize other FieldValues (BoolFieldValue, DateFieldValue, etc.. ) from Codebeamer in FieldQueries?

- Is there any accessible documentation for de.ikv.analyze.adapter.codebeamer plugins as a starting point for more complex scripts?
