Access to Auto Counter information

Hi Medini scripting team,

I tried to get access to the Autocounter information in Medini.

From what I learned to far, the finderEx.js library grants access to the Autocounter object. Besides that I can obtain a unique ID for a given Medini object, which can be found in this topic. And it is possible to update the autocounter value for a Medini object as described here.

I want to get the Autocounter pattern for a Medini object besides the current value of the autocounter for this object.

Is this possible by accessing the Autocounter object?

Hi Martin,

I quickly checked and recognized that something was missing: with finderEx.js you just have access to the "basic" auto counter features which are mor eor less static function at the AutoCounterSupport class. What was missing was to get hands on the instance for a given project or element. I extended the finderEx.js by a new method. Find attached the updated library, sample code woudl look like:

load(".lib/finderEx.js");

// first we need an instance of AutoCounterSupport for our project
var acs = findAutoCounterSupport(finder.project);

console.log("There are {0} patterns defined in project {1}", acs.getAutoCounterPatterns().autoCounterPattern.size(), finder.project.name);

// try a few
var p = acs.findAutoCounterPattern(Metamodel.safetyModel.FailureMode, null);
if (p) {
	console.log("Pattern for failure modes is {0}, overflow is {1}", p.pattern, p.overflow);
}

Dont be surprised by "x.getAutoCounterPatterns().autoCounterPattern", its like that :-)
