Missing Javascript syntax highlighting

Hi,

somehow after the last update to 2024 R2.01 the javascript syntax highlighting is not there anymore. I can't find a way to activate it. Was this support removed in the update, or have i gone blind?

Hi Lukas ,

No you have not gone blind It is just that fact the there is no native JavaScript editor shipped with the tool anymore.

Install Notepad++, right click and select Open with->Other and select External programs and point it to the notepad++ exe. It works quite well. To get autoindent you need to install plugin, however.

I actually just installed Visual Studio Code as recommended. Works quite well. Also you can use the internal Visual Studio Code Workspace, which makes organizing your scripts easier.
