Moving functions and ports to another part

Importing SysML elements from EAP file : Ansys medini analyze Support

but since it was a bit off topic I've created a new topic.

When I try to move ports or functions by changing the_owner I get the following error

even though I use this pragma in the script

//$EXPERIMENTAL$ $ENHANCED_CONTAINMENT_ACCESS$

The work-around would be to delete and create new functions and ports, but I would prefer to not do that because I am using the mediniIdentifier as the ID in my my scripted export to codeBeamer. :-)

Any idea what can cause it? And it is sure that it should work?

Hi Mattias,

Very strange. If the HW model script works. then I have only one suspicion.

Before anything i would try do use clean /fresh medini install and eventually would cleared the eclipse config data windows/users/[name]/.eclipse/mediniAnalyzeConfig[version]

Can you Clarify If you are using the ea scripts form the referenced thread  trying to import the EA model?

Your script actually uses factory to create a new elements or just trying to move around?

After the model is imported you are trying to move around the elements within the System Model ?

I am thinking if EA annotated model elements where it might for some reason be blocked to move around the elements.

Other than that it may be linked to something in your script and things done before trying to perform move.

You can also try to Maybe wrap the reported line in try catch statement and report the child and parent along with the error.

As the last ressort I suggest to send a secure transfer the files to Jan so that he can try to replicate and further narrow down the problem.

Mattias, maybe you can remove the first line and rewrite it from scratch? If you use an external JS editor, it may have introduced some line feed which ... hm, while writing this reads odd.

But anyway, worth trying.
