Well, it is known that the medini connector to DOORS classic has some limitations: it only supports import, creates special read-only instances of requirements and does not support relations. Improvements are on the roadmap but technically challenging.
However, the underlying technology basis is rather simple, straight to use and ... easy scriptable. It is based on Sodius MD Access for DOORS (see Help - Sodius Help). So it is bascially EMF based, same as the medini core.
We started a new library named doors.js which should dramatically lower the barrier to script against a DOORS database and solve import but also export use cases. The first step is done: just a simple library that supports the connection to the local DOORS client (as medini does) and the dump of the database tree, having folders, projects, modules, baseline sets and baselines dumped to the console.
We will extend this library stepwise and post updates in this article. Any feedback on applicability is highly appreciated. Development and tests were done with 2024 R2.1.
