Good Evening!!

I tried to derive the SIL with using profiling property. I have created one Property for Hazardous Event(Name as Stakeholder). I have given 4 predefined values like below attached format. I need to derive the SIL property with using stakeholder predefined values. I have created one script for deriving the SIL, But it is showing error. I need the Risk Matrix like this.

Hi Ahok,

your script seems not to be ok:

You defined function getSIL with one parameter stakeholder ... but you called the function with 4 parameters (SIL1,SIL2,SIL3,SIL4)
SIL1,SIL2,SIL3,SIL4 are all not defined as variables in your script

I modified the script from SIL1, SIL2, SIL3, SIL4 to stakeholder. It is not showing any error. but it is not giving the SIL value. It is showing blank column.

Is there any script for defining SIL for IEC 61508 template and Synchronizing with requirements also.

can you post your updated script here? AT least from the screenshot it looks like getSIL is not returning any value.

Thank you Ashok, as I mentioned already, your function getSIL does not return any value. That's why no value is displayed.

BTW: Two remarks

Did you create your project with the Industry Profile? This will enable a SIL Property for elements of the architecture
In fact I still do not understand what exactly your script is supposed to do (and on which Section/Part of IEC61508 it is based)

Yeah, I have created project using IEC 61508 template, But I need to define SIL for EN 50128. like ASIL in ISO 26262 template.

For that I have taken as reference this IEC 61508 template. I want to define that SIL Risk Graph as like EN 50128 Hazard Analysis with using IEC 61508 template.

Hi Ashok,

idf I understand your example correctly your different data (REQ, DES, IMP, TST ...) correspond to the responsibilities (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Test...) in the overall lifecycle. Typically they would be derived from the SIL not the SIL from the responsibilities (as your script snippet indicates)!

The required SIL would be derived from a HAZOP/Hazard analysis or LOPA. It would result into requirements on the failure rates/reliability of the system and system components (Tolerable Hazard Rate) and on guidance for the further activities in the design (Architectures, Analysis Methods etc).
