Import *.layout file on HARA Worksheet using JS

As previously asked by another user in https://medini.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/1000112101 , I would like to import a .layout file in a HARA worksheet.

As mentioned in the article above, I understand that the 'applyLayout' function (implemented in projects such as ISO21434) supports checklists, FMEA, etc., but it does not support HARA.

I am currently creating a project for our customer, and I am implementing a function to automatically generate HARA sheets. In the project, several HARA sheets with different layouts will be automatically created using a script, so I would like to import previously prepared layout files when creating those sheets.

If there are any mothods to import *.layout files into HARA sheet with JS, could you please tell me it?

Hi Yusuke-san,

in principle the layout system is the same for all tables (at least the ones for which you can export .layout files from the tool), so it also applies for a HARA, even if the ISO21434 "New" scripts do not include one for a HARA (Cybersecurity does not use HARAs). So in medini 2023 R1 and earlier you can use it also for that.

Please note that with 2023 R2 (I hope I reference the right version) the layouts were adapted to EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework) and thus the previous scripts do not work anymore. You can have a look at the latest ISO21434 best practice template for updated scripts.

The main difference is that now the column information is written within the script, not loaded from a .layout file. (I guess the scripts were changed for convenience in that way, one could still find a way to read the data from .layout files - these have a new contents format since 2023 R2)

Nils, I think it was 23.2.1 (internally 23.3) where we introduced the new layout format.

I could set the layout of my HARA sheet by your new method in medini 2024R1.

FYI, I fixed the script of the latest ISO21434 best practice template because it didn't set the layout properly to my HARA sheet.

It seems that the separator for "refId" in tableProxyModel of HARA is "?".

I tried to reproduce your problem with HARA but did not face an issue with the layout lib as it is. Which column did not work before? Was it a profile / custom column?

Yes, probably as you would expect.

The custom column(profile property) of separator is "?" in *.layout file.

Please see attactched layout file which is generated by my HARA sheet.
