Hide user property for certain elements

Question

Hello, from a brief check I haven't seen any similar post.

I was trying to create some properties for "characteristics" like the ranking in "Special" (e.g. safety or regulatory, etc..) I know that Medini natively manages them by its own but in my case is necessary to customyze with a tailoring according to internal company specification.

Basically the property could be a fixed text to select amongst a predefined set, and I got no propblem on managing this, but, since I need this property only on typeCode Characteristics and the customization have to be made under the category "Element" is it possible to "hide" the property for other elements which are not typeCode Characteristics?

I was thinking about something similar to:

property.style.visibility="hidden" but of course is not working.

I meant the later, Simone, basically just a live mode OCL constraint to prevent that suers fill in the poperty for other elements. Not ideal but may help.

Thanks for the fast response, so you mean something like Object.preventExtensions in the code of the script derived property according to typeCode?

Or you mean introducing a Dynamic Constraint in OCL with checkbox on live mode?

Simone, there is currently no support for that, I am sorry. Only thing I can imagine is that you add a live constraint that forbids that users set the value on Elements that dont have the desired typecode.
