Reading Excel files - getting the result of a formula

Question

Hi all,

Could it be that the class "de.ikv.medini.docgen.openxml.document.excel.Cell" does have no member/possibility to get the result of a formula within this cell?

When I try this I get an "empty" cell.

If this is true, could an alternative excel.js implementation with org.apache.poi lib using class XSSFWorkbook work?

Hello Jan,

Yes, with such a kind of use case. I just got an excel file from someone else. And during importing the file either a failure occured (accessing an empty cell) or the cell contained nothing. At that time I was not aware that a formula (a condition to control information for import) is used.
I adapted your Exel Importer to use the org.apache.poi.xssf package and now it is working fine. I'm using now this interface also to generate XLS files instead of CSV files.
