derive ASIL for function through linked requirements

Hello,

I've searched in forum and there is already a similar topic with a suggested script but I would like a bit of support or advice or the tailoring to my needs, the topic is:

"derive ASIL for Port through linked malfunctions".

I would like to compute each function ASIL level aqccording to requirements allocated which have their own ASIL already associated. For example if my function has three associated requirements, one QM(D) and one B(D) and one NONE, I would like to assign ASIL B(D) to function itself.

Could anybody please give some advice?

ok - so your functions are contained in a system component which has the ASIL-D requirement? Did you try to set for the function(s) the attribute Independent:

This would prevent the ASIL propagation from container to contained elements/functions.

Hello Simone Massimo,

that should actually work out-of-the box:

Allocate the requirement(s) to the functions (using trace matrix or properties view or just in the requirements table editor)
Select on the architecture model which contains the function(s) the context menu This will apply the ISO 26262 rules for propagating the ASIL to system elements.

Hello Eckhardt,

Unfortunately I've already tried this path, I've verified that a specific function inside my model has allocated several safety requirements: the highest is ASIL B(D), after running the script, the function seems to inherit the highest ASIL of the architecture, this means the function itself becomes D.

My initial pourpose, instead was to assign to each function the ASIL of the highest requirement associated to it. This will also help me to understand possible decomposition.
