Add to automatic deletion via scripting?

When deleting an element via the GUI, the tool may identify additional elements that are affected and it will display a "Delete Element(s)" dialog with those additional elements shown. If the user clicks OK then those additional elements are also deleted.  They may, however, deselect elements and then those deselected elements will not be deleted.

Is it possible to add additional elements to this list the GUI displays? For example, when the user deletes a Threat Scenario (security.Threat class), the tool will identify FMEA.CauseEntry classes that depend on that scenario. I'd like the tool to also identify related Threat Events and Attack Trees and offer to delete those as well.

Hi Erik,

In my understanding that's not possible, you cannot influence that selection dialog.

Instead, you could create your own script "delete with dependencies" looking for related elements, then including the FMEA Cause Entries. From the script you wouldn't be able to trigger the native dialog, but you should be able to raise your own dialog (will look a bit different) - at least that's my guess, as I think there is something described in the forum allowing to raise such dialogs, but I never used that myself.
