Diff triggered by script

Question

Hello forum,

Can one trigger a diff between two medini elements from within a script?

Scenario: two projects are open in workspace and I want to get the differences between say "System model X" in the two projects. I know how to get the two objects with a script, but after that can I compare them by calling some function?

For that matter, is it possible to trigger a diff between two projects from script?

Hi Andre, this is currently not really supported. However, as usual I can offer some simple library that compares two projects and returns on object with all relevant information. You have find out the relevant parts as there  as there is no real documentation for that,

Attached a lib and a sample script.

Note that I will be away for some time next year and cant really support your further with this in short term, I am sorry.

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the reply! No, I do not need diff browser opening. I just need to have the object compare.Match (which contains the differences and submatches) in the script. From there on I can sort out the differences.
