Roundtrip export/import with ReqIF

Hi,

i'm having issues with reqIF export to Doors.

Basically my use case is that i use Medini as Requirement creator editor, then i'd like to export to a Doors module the requirement for other project team usage.

I've tried ot use the Export ReqIF format and i can correctly export the first time. But then if i create new requirements or update some requirement in Medini i can export them correctly to Doors but i can't update the first imported module with the merge operation.

Is it possible to export the ReqIF definition in a way that the Doors module is locked, and can receive future updated from Medini reqIF export?

Any advice on how to approach this problem is welcome.

Hi Samuele,

in order make DOORS recognize that the new medini export is a modified version of the previous one you need to export your first medini import from DOORS and again and upate the medini model from the ReqIF enforcing an update on the medini side before you do any modifications in medini.

If you then modify medini, export to ReqIF and re-import to DOORS, then DOORS recognizes the new import of being based on the same as you exported before. This was now the round trip or just the export from medini to DOORS works fine.

To summarize, you need to export from DOORS and import into medini at least once, after you imported the first medini version to DOORS.
