Update of diagrams within script

Question

Hi everyone,

I am deleting by script some dozens of event nodes, events, transfer gates etc which are not being used anymore. Afterwards, I run a second script which looks for empty FTA diagrams and delete them. This is working up to the cases below (unrestored subtree).

Before event deletion, the diagram below has of course one child (PJDiagram.diagram.children.size() = 1). After deletion the second script weirdly still see a child in the diagram (!!). However, if before running the second script I open and close the diagram, the number of children is updated to the expected zero.

How can I deal with that? Is there an way of updating the diagrams without having to open and close them one by one?

Andre, there is openEditor in ui.js and you can pass a diagram to open it. But I am not sure you can close it afterwards.

I got the main point now, but I am not sure about "unrestored". You double click to hide the tree and then it doe snot work? That I can imagine. Trees that are not restored because you just pasted half of it to the diagram... I cant.

That is actually just a unrestored tree, if I restore it it looks like below.

In script 1 I look for events, transfer gates, logical gates etc which I marked before and delete them
and their notations in diagrams (elementToBeDeleted.mediniGetOpposites("element")). So yes, I
am removing the diagram representation myself in script 1.

This works well on most diagrams (they then show no more children), except those 
which have unrestored trees. In a unrestored state the
event below %SYSFTA%HW_UC... has no representation(if I double click it 
in model browser it says it can not be shown in any diagram). In a restored state, if I double click it
it is shown in the diagram.

How could I open and close the diagram per script? That would work, even if a bit cumbersome.

what exactly are you deleting on that diagram, the transfer gate? have you checked what kind of child is still there before you open the diagram?

Does that problem only occur with transfer gates?

You of course may open and close the diagram via script but that's kind of a workaround only, right?

PS: Are you removing the diagram representation yourself or let medini do the job (before you run script 2)?
