Find SysMLParts with attributes, which are defined in typed SysMLBlock

Hello,

I try to find parts in a BOM with the finder something like this.

found = scopeFinder.findByType(Metamodel.sysml.SysMLPart).and("definition.user_type", "Capacitor");

or found = scopeFinder.findByType(Metamodel.sysml.SysMLPart).and("theType.user_type", "Capacitor");

But this doesn't work.

A search like scopeFinder.findByType(Metamodel.sysml.SysMLPart).and("partNumber", "45903735");

and the access 

found.asArray()[0].definition.label; works fine.

Are there any ideas, how to connect the corresponding library for the finder?

I look forward for the solution.

what is "definition.user_type" referring to, is that your own custom profile property? If so, of what type is that property?

Same holds for "user_type". Is that really a string?

My guess is that you want to navigate from the part to its definition and check an attribute there. Thats not directly possible.

"and" and the other functions on the finder API can only check direct attributes of an object.

Anyway, you can use "filter" to do arbitrary checks. To illustrate:

// does not work
finder.findByType(Metamodel.sysml.SysMLPart).and("definition.typeCode", "Capacitor");

// this DOES work
finder.findByType(Metamodel.sysml.SysMLPart).filter(function(part) {
 return part.definition.typeCode == "Capacitor";
});
