Copy whole feature and connected model through script

Hello everyone!

I am currently looking for a way duplicate a feature, together with all behaviors, output ports and so on. The connected FTA model with the same name should also be duplicated and "represents" traces linked to their duplicated counterparts in that FTA model. So instead of using derive -> variant, the user can execute the script on the selected element and the copies will be created.

Is there any efficient way to copy whole diagrams/models or packages together with all their contained elements? Can the derive or the copy function be executed through JS?

Also, can only diagrams be copied using "copy"? Since this gives new unique mediniIdentifiers, it would be better then derive for this usecase.

I currently do not know a generic way of duplicating things, no matter what they are. I understood that you basically want to copy system elements and optionally (always?) faul trees that are traced to these elements?

In theory a script could all do that but has to create each copy individually by himself which is a tedious work. 

Maybe CFT (Componentn Fault Trees) would be interesting to have a look at? It may help to avoid the need to duplicate fault trees for copies of element instances.
