Hello
Provide following information:
- reasons for such issue e.g. .lib, script update
- Medini version issue
- failure mode not allocated
- if DIE and PIN structure exist then whether this script is working or not ?
Dear Agarkar,
First of all: Which version of medini are you using? To our knowledge the script was developed for version 2021R1 o 2021R2 - note, it can probably not used as-is for the more recent versions (2022R1/R2 or 2023R1) as there have been various changes to the internal medini data model.
Anyway, we had a look at your problem and discovered that it seems to be related to the FMEDA/DC Worksheet in your source project. The script does expect that that Worksheet is derived from a SysML Part - probably in your case the Worksheet may be derived from a full SysML Architecture model. You can find this out by clicking on the highlighted link on the Cover sheet of the DC Worksheet:
Following that link the related element will be highlighted(and potentially an associated diagram be opened):
If it is highlighting a component (marked in yellow) everything is modelled correctly - if it is highlighting a complete architecture (or a folder) as marked in red, the Worksheet has not been derived/created correctly.
Best regards,
Eckhardt
Hello,
Thank you for your response. I am using currently version "medini analyze 2022 R2".
No worksheet is not derived from SysML model.
Elements are from excel sheet imported. I have two level hierarchy DIE and PINs. I need it for FIT rate split for DIE and PINS.
As my elements are not from SysML model when I click design it indicates nothing as expected.
Could you please send me the latest script which I can use it for Medini analyze version 2022 R2 ?
I will try to use latest script and if the problem still persist then we can discuss on planned Monday meeting.
Regards
Akshay
Hello Akshay,
As I expected, the worksheet is not derived from a SysML Part but from the full architecture (it just highlights in your case the diagram of the full architecture - see the red arrow). However, it should point as indicated with the green arrow to the SyML part ASIC (and in fact also the name ASIC should be shown on the cover sheet as related design)
To my knowledge there is no update for this script available as it was a customer specific script. Please get in contact with your team to find out, whether any maintenance for this script by Ansys was included or whether somebody in your company did any maintenance/improvement or migration for the script.
Hi Eckhardt,
Thank you very much. I checked with test project. you are right FMEDA/DC should have ASIC instead of EG120. it seems then script is working.
How to change now FMEDA/DC Worksheet coversheet from EG120 to ASIC now in existing project?
I want to prevent redoing entire analyses work again.
Hi Akshay,
the focus element of a DC Worksheet can be changed by a script. Please note, the script is experimental and there is no warranty that everything with this script is working 100% correctly. So please make first a back-up copy of your project and after running the script use the "Check consistency" to detetct any potential corruption of the project.
You must add this script to your source project and execute it there. Moreover, an additional library fmea.js is required which you find in this article:

You may need to open the worksheet to take effect, i.e. to synchronize the worksheet.");
I have also attached the file below.
I tried your proposed approach. Yes it is working.
Thank you very much for quick support. I will check internally if anyone modified current script or not.
