FMEA - How to edit revised Numbers and Actions

Hello,

I'm having trouble completing lasts columns of FMEA sheet.

I'm trying to edit the revised numbers, recommended Actions and Action taken.

I have tried the factory function for both, but I don't understand what should be the scope.

Factory.createElement(scope,Metamodel.FMEA.RecommendedAction)


Factory.createElement(scope, Metamodel.FMEA.TakenAction)


Factory.createElement = function (scope, Metamodel.FMEA.CurrentDesignControl)

So far, from the metamodel, I have understand that I need to create CurrentDesignControl and then edit attributes :

Hello Thomas,

the scope for the recommended action (and revised detection/occurence) would be the the measure group - as far as I have seen in your other article you did already create a measure group.

The creation of a CurrentDesignControl is in required only for a detached FMEA. See also the yellow marked relations& attributes in the picture from the MetaModel Guide:

Hi Thomas,

sorry - I was a little imprecise: The scope for the recommended action (and revised detection/occurence) would be the the MeasureEntry and not the MeasureGroup (as also shown in the diagram from the metamodel). The MeasureEntry is pointing to the MeasureGroup using the proxy element.

Unfortunately this becomes now much more tricky as the MeasureGroup is part of the underlying extended SysML model whereas MeasureEntry is part of the FMEA-model itself (e.g. the table model). The FMEA model elements are created implicitly (and synchronized) after the changes at the SysML model are completed and persisted - which will happen after the script is executed completely and successfully. Unfortunately this also implies that these FMEA model elements can usually not be accessed by the script (as the changes are not persisted). The only way out of this is to trigger explicitly the synchronization of the FMEA model to reflect the changes in the SysML model ....

To proceed here, it would be good to have a look at your complete script to see where and how the synch could be triggered. Can you post it here? In case you do not want to publish it,you can also create a support ticket using "Contact Support" from medini's Help menu and attach the script to the email (just change the extension from .js to .txt to avoid clashes with email security).

Sorry for the delay, I was fixing another topic on the script.

I ran some tests with the sample you gave to me just above.

It's working great. I steel need to improve the script to avoid duplicate recommended action.

I will share the code here when it's done.

In the example you gave me, we are assuming that the recommended action is the same for all the measure entry right ?

Because doing mediniGetOpposite() from measure group is listing all the measure entry linked to the measure group.

But in case we have a different recommended action for some measure entrys. How can I target the right measure entry ?

My first thought is to do : MediniGetOpposite() from component (SysMlelement) to get the component entry, and then navigate with the "metamodel link".
