Checklist/Table multiple items copy

Hello,

I would like to know if there's an easy/quick way to do multiple items copy in the checklist or table. I know currently we can copy single text cell to multiple cells via ctrl+c/ctrl+v and for table that allow drag & drop, we can drag & drop whole table but this would empty out the original one.

The one I'm interested is more on copying multiple cells (say list of malfunctions, safety measures, checkboxes etc) to certain cells, or single cell to certain cells.

Hi Eckhardt,

It's for checklist mainly, but this is more to copy non-textual field (like list of malfuctions, safety measures etc) columns.We would like similar feature seen in text field where you can copy single cell to multiple cells via ctrl+c/ctrl+v.

As of now, we can drag & drop single Malfunction to another cell which is a bit tedious for multiple copy as our engineers would want to copy to many cells as they may have to handle many lines for some projects.

It's nice knowing that in the upcoming version, there will be new feature to move/copy whole row to another location. Do you know if we can also have something for copying non-textual cell to multiple cells in one go in the future? Or this is not recommended? Please advise.

Hi Farah,

is it just for checklist or also for other tables?

For Checklist you have currently the following options:

* Duplicate a full row
* Copy content of individual cells into other cells using Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V (or by dragging from one cell to another one) (as long as the cell type is matching)

Both is available in the table editor.

With the upcoming version 2022R2 you will for checklists also be able to

* Move complete rows to a different location (in some other hierarchy in the same table o into a different table
* Copy complete rows to a different location (in some other hierarchy in the same table o into a different table

This will be available in the Model Browser.

What is not supported is the topic of selecting multiple cells of one row (but not the full row)and copying their content into similar cells of a different row.
