I got 2 questions: * According to AIAG-VDA FMEA Template, there could be (Next lower level or characteristic Type). I've customized a script under "failure cause" in "Profiling". With "self.element.mediniGetContainer().mediniGetContainer()" i can get in the cell the element related to failure cause. This is valid only for upper level, because at the last one there are characteristics which are below the element, so in that case, to obtain the characteristic type is necessary only "self.element.mediniGetContainer()" which normally gives back the failure cause related function. Is there a way to detect if the "self.mediniGetContainer()" answer with a function or with a characteristic? i think this will work * The second problem is really similar to the first one because on function analysis should be necessary to distinguish between "lower level function or characteristic". Currently i have two separate columns the value of the characteristics is managed as an attribute of reltive characteristic type, how i can merge the two info together according to level of the analysis. Hello Simone,

I just had a quick look at your script ... So if you want to collect multiple thinsg in characteristicAttribute, you need to define it as an array and the add entries e.g. using
characteristicAttribute.push(ownedElements.get(i))
Currently it only is a simple variable which you overwrite in each cycle of the for-loop.

BTW: I am not really sure what happens in the firts part of the if-statement - you intend to have as result just the container of the activity?

you can at any time check the type of an element with instanceof like

if (self.element.mediniGetContainer() instanceof Metamodel.sysml.SysMLActivity) // check for function

I'm facing a related problem, in FMEA, i've tried to track characteristics (values) using Characteristics attributes. In some cases is necessary/useful to list more than one in the same worksheet cell. I've tried the following script but it only shows the last attribute, could you please help me?

Found that the declaration should be diferent from null to use the method you suggested, i've tried before but with null var declaration gives back an error. But finally this seems to work.
