Get object from medini identifier

Dear Ansys,

I have a certain mediniIdentifier and I want to get the object which is

identified by it. Since I know what kind of object it should be (event) I could go with 

.findByType(Metamodel.FTA.Event, false).and("mediniIdentifier", myMediniIdentifier);

or something like that.

I wonder however if one can get the object in a more direct way,

without having to produce the list of all objects of that type.

Hi Andre,

your approach is absolutely fine if you know the type of the object. If you do not know or you want to avoid filtering by type you may use find directly:

finder.find("mediniIdentifier", myMediniIdentifier).first();

 Note that these two lines are equivalent:

finder.findByType(Metamodel.FTA.Event, false)

finder.findByType(Metamodel.FTA.Event)
