Copy Failure Modes and Rates

Hello,

is there a API in a script to get the same functionality as the menu items in the context menu show.

Trying methodes of obj.clone() or obj.copy() lead to the exception: not implemented.

Dear Mr. Brunotte,

thank you for posting the question in the forum.  Based on our discussion, you are trying to copy part type to port usages. From April 11th 2022 we able to provide you with a beta version, where the ports will also have port definitions, containing formulas and failure modes. This means, you will be able to connect the part usage with the port definition and the copy and paste functionality will not be needed anymore.

Did I captured your use case correctly? Are you interested on taking part in the beta-program?

Example on Port/Pin Definition and Usage with SysML 2.0.

Hello Dieter,

there is no API to directly execute that feature behind the menus. That's a very specific and sophisticated copy method.

With the existing scripting API you technically may re-implement the logic but I recommend not to try that.
