As usual, each release comes with new features and updates, also for scripting. With 2022 R1 a few new features have been introduced. This article highlights the most important one.
Tag Support
The latest version of medini introduces a generic tag support: any object in the models can be tagged with arbitrary tags aka strings.
In order to work nicely with tags in scripts, the Finder API was extended. There is first of all Finder.findByTag(String) to find any element by a given tag. Second there are extensions to FinderResult, so FinderResult.withTag(String) and FinderResult.withoutTag(String) to further filter any finder result by tags.
Further Improvements
The Finder now as a new function named all() to iterate over all elements of a project. Besides FinderResult.first() there is now FinderResult.last() to get the last element in a result.
