Hi Sven,

and may be as some interim workaround: In case you specify the profile property in OCL:

checklist::StaticChecklistItem.allInstances()->select(CL:checklist::StaticChecklistItem | CL.checked = false)

You will have in the Properties view a context menu to highlight all open tasks which are in your project (and not template tasks):

This may anyway be helpful because you want to see where the open tasks are located ...

I think this is a valid question and tricky to answer. Currently there isn't too much difference between checklist template

and instances, excep that templates "live" inside a hidden package. I need to find out what the best option is to recognize these hidden packages.

In any case, the above statement can be made shorter like this:

finder.findByType(Metamodel.checklist.StaticChecklistItem, true).and("checked", false).asArray();

Stay Tuned. I even think that this check is missing the API.

@Jan - yes the properties view does show all (as long as they fit into the field - there seems to be some limit and no scrollbar is shown), but Show Element(s) in Browser does of course only highlight the "real" ones ;-)

BTW, why is this no available for JS profile properties?

It is not available for the array output of standard Javascript, but one can convert it to a Java list like this (see also Introduction to Scripting article or here)

this is the link back from a checklist to it's template (in case the checklist has been create using a template). Unfortunately as soon as you have also created checklists without a template, it will not help ...

That's exactly the same place to which I came - without a real clue, what was used as base for the selection of the icons :-( ... I thought iconPath would contain something on this, but that's not the case.

So Jan may have another idea ...

This "All my checklists are in a container named "04 review"" is a folder? You could use mediniGetContainer() to get this folder and filter the list accordingly

I checked the "they have different icons so it should be possible to get that information" and indeed, that information is there but its not revealed at API so our scripts cant access it.

We may try to hack some similar thing that thats rather a bad hack. I suggest to go the other way and check the parent as suggested,

"How can I find out the container of the Checklist?" - as mentioned by Eckhardt mediniGetContainer() will be helpful. In addition, you will probably need to jump over the "proxy barrier" between the checklist itself and the containing package - see here Jan's post about it.

If I remember correctly from a debugging session, the container of the checklist templates is named "Checklist".

@Nils, its actually "Checklists" and I agree that its a better idea to check against that folder to detect templates than the other way around, because its usually not changed by the user.

For next version we try to extend the API so a script can detect that easily via a function call or additional attribute.
