OCL find traceability between SR and FailureMode and Malfunction

Dear All

I have created a column to detect the traceability between Safety Requirement and FailureMode and Malfunction

The union works for the effect :

 self.mediniGetTracedElements(safetyModel::FailureMode).oclAsType(safetyModel::FailureMode).getProfilePropertyValue('top_level_effect')->union( self.mediniGetTracedElements(safetyModel::Malfunction).oclAsType(safetyModel::Malfunction).getProfilePropertyValue('top_level_effect'))

but doesn't work for Malfunction and FailureMode

self.mediniGetTracedElements(safetyModel::Malfunction).oclAsType(safetyModel::Malfunction)->union(self.mediniGetTracedElements(safetyModel::Malfunction)oclAsType(safetyModel::FailureMode))

It works independently but not the union. I understand because it is not the same information

do you have another solution to merge these two informations in one column

what exactly is show or shown and error? Seems your second OCL even has a syntax error " Malfunction)oclAsType " does not seem to be correct, doesn't it?

You have right. It is an issue when i recopy the script in the discussion.

But this not works. I unterstand in union it is not possible to merge two types of datas : FailureMode and Malfunction

I am not aware that union works this way, I would need to confirm. Anyway, cant you just search for Malfunctions but cast them to Failures?

Like this:

self.mediniGetTracedElements(safetyModel::Malfunction).oclAsType(safetyModel::Failure)->union(.....)

That may solve it.
