Finding the medini identifier of a cause relation

I want to get a list of all medini identifiers for the causes to a hazard. 

Going through the attributes list the chain would be self.causeRelations->cause-> mediniIdentifier

It works easy until self.causeRelations which I transformed to an array. The next step is the one I have issues with. 

Here my approach so far:

var connectors = self.causeRelations.toArray();

for (var j = 0; j < connectors.length; j++){

result.push(connectors[j].cause.mediniIdentifier);

}

result;

///

Can you help me to find the mediniItentifiers of each cause relation?

The script is correct and works - unless the project has consistency issues and "cause" may be null for one of the causeRelations (as in Joel's case). Then it would thrown an error that mediniIdentifiers is not a property of "null".
