Get all files from user-selected folder

Hi,

Is there a way to get all the files of a certain extension (.xlsx and .xls) from a user-selected folder?We can get the user to select folder via:

var folder = openDirectory("Please select a folder");

but I'm not quite sure how to get the files within the folder. The methods online depends on the fs module which is not available in Medini.

Hi Jan,

I think I'd like to analyse the directory in the script. Essentially I would have a folder of several Excel sheets which I'd like to import to Medini. The user is supposed to only have to select the folder (where the excel sheets are in) so they don't have to select and import the sheets one-by-one.

Maisy, do you wan to open a file and have a file selection dialog with a certain extension or do you want to analyze the directory/files in the script?

Instead of using some JS module you can use the full power of java.io package.
