Write a number in Excel without ".0"

Dear All

I want to write a number in Excel

When i use

set(sheet, currentRow, j, test);

it is ok but after in excel i have a problem with formula, it is a text and not a number

If i use

setNumber(sheet, currentRow, j, test);

it copy the number but with ".0". In French excel don't detect it is a number with ".0" in more

If i use this to convert in integer

var test1=java.lang.Integer(test);

setNumber(sheet, currentRow, j, test1);

It copy a text "Title:" ; "DFMEA Start Date:" in function of the value

I don't unterstand, in Medini an Alert give me the good value without ".0"

it seems that the setNumber function was indeed not functioning, strange.

The cell type must be explicitly set to NUMBER. So edit the excel.js and fix setNumber, should look like:

...
	cell.setType(Cell.Type.NUMBER);
	cell.setNumberValue(value);
...

Of which type is test in your example, is it a BigDecimal?

The last part is strange, I don't get it, you see a string instead of the number in Excel?

Hi Philippe,

there might be an issue with (1) the setNumber function in the excel.js but also maybe one in the Excel Cell implementation, I quickly checked the code. I need to have a closer look myself.
