Disable / Grey-out any elements so they are not selectable through reference property?

Hi,

I would like to know whether it is possible to disable / grey-out any elements (e.g. attack, measure, elements ...etc) so that they can't be selected from reference property? e.g. I have an attack collection but depending on the design some attacks may not be applicable. When I select attacks from elsewhere (using reference property) I'd only like to select from a list of applicable attacks. 

I'm looking for alternatives to deleting as it's easy to miss out what you have accidentally not included if you delete.

Hi Maisy,

I do not see a nice way at the moment on how this can be achieved by scripting. BTW, what would be the criteria to single-out some of the elements? May be you can enforce some naming schema and then use the filter based on the naming schema (and late on check with a valication rule whther the assignments match some conditions).
