Update Transient Failure Rate Fraction while updating H/W System Model

Hi,

So I have H/W Model created by importing data from CSV and everything is updated accordingly but now I would like to add some Transient Fault.

I am able to change the type to Transient and of course, it will disable the failure Rate Distribution by default when it's Transient. Then I tried to update the failure rate and I checked the value by printing it, it looks fine.

But once the script execution finished, it only changed the type but not failure rate fraction. It's 0, not taking the percentage value as how I assigned it.

However, if I do it in a separate script, it works fine.

May I know what did I do wrong? Kindly help.

You stumbled over a special handling: a few things are done by medini when the transaction is committed.

That includes the adaptation of a failure mode if you set it to TRANSIENT. The transaction is committed

at the *end* of the script so basically you have no chance to change the value afterwards.

There is a very special pragma to disable these "committ handlers. Put $NO_HANDLERS$ pragma in the first line of the script as usual.

Be very cautions using this pragma. Most commit handlers have their reasons, mostly to keep the model consistent.

Disabling them may have consequences, so use that only in rare cases.
