Dear forum users,

When trying to modify the "represents" from some existing basic events, I would like to modify their probability model to EXPONENTIAL Law and set that the failure rate is derived from the represent that is failure mode..

As for most of my event it seems that probability model was empty ( ? strange to me even if fixed is by default )and as I do not know how to modify I have created an new probability model like :

var Pmodel1 = Factory.createElement(event, Metamodel.FTA.ExponentialProbabilityModel);

Pmodel1.lambdaDerived = true;

but I am not confortable with this..I would prefer to modify because some a probability model could exist ?

Hello Florent,

"fixed probability" model means same as <null>, so all events with <null> model have the fixed probability. Creating a the exponential model is exactly done as you did, using the factory. Only think missing is maybe to check whether there is already a probability model, so maybe:

if (event.probabilityData == undefined) {
 Factory.createElement(event, Metamodel.FTA.ExponentialProbabilityModel);
}

if (event.probabilityData instanceof Metamodel.FTA.ExponentialProbabilityModel) {
 event.probabilityData.lambdaDerived = true;
}
