Rich text in derived Property

Dear Jan , dear all

When using operational situation catalogs in HARA is it resulting often in many additional columns that taken one by one requires an effort for the reviewer to rebuild the situation. Therefore I have decided to create a new column that summarize the whole situation at once like :

it is a draft so do not take to much importance on the content.

What I would like to know if the derived property can support rich text with color for the display ? if yes, how ?

Well, there is currently no support for that but I can imagine some small HTML helper object that has two or three functions like:

function addRed(text) {
 ...
}

function addBlue(text) {
 ...
}

function addHR() {
}

and that internally builds up the string which you finally can return.

Florent,

there is indeed such a thing but its undocumented and only available if you start the tool in debug mode when you *define*

the property. It works later without having debug mode enabled.

Once you have done, go to the drop down in the property definition page

and change the type hint to "Text (RFT)" or Text (XHTML)".

However, you really then have to create RTF or some sort of XHTML.

At least something like:

"<html><body><p>Cool</p></body></html>"

Thanks Jan I found it quickly as I start always in debug mode.

However the results is not so good due the grey color of derive properties...

Do you have an example in RTF ? I tried several example from the net but never succeed to display something

I think the reason was that the color and HTML was not correctly encoded.

I played a bit with this and got some good results. RFT looks much stranger to me but I added it as well:

Jan, how I can used javascript to shape this kind of xhtml code :

Relevant Use Case :  RUC_1

Driving condition : Driving Forward Straight-ahead

Driving location : Location Highway and Inter-urban

where as an example Relevant Use case should be shown only if a value existe and RUC_1 is extracted from a string variable ?

Cool..and to mix the different xhtml character like "" with string from javascript how I should proceed ?

Fortunately JS accepts ' and " so I suggest to always use ' in JS and " in the HTML like

return '<p style="...">foo</p>';

should work.
