component BOM files are generally not in the format required to port into a Medini library file.
Parts are categorized by parametric characteristics, not in terms of the functions they support in the implementation
hence every part has to be identified in its relationship to the specific function produced by an electronic control unit (ex R104, C32, C21, D85).
once this is done Medini can be used to work the FMEDA based on the specific ICs and associated parts (Rs, Cs, and Ds) that support the function.
Performing a transformation of a extended BOM into the form required by medini can be time extremely time consuming.
Does Ansys supply template scripts that can be used or modified to complete this task???
If so could I be directed on where to look for these files??
