Sum failure rates of a profile property at DC Failure Entry for DC Component Entry

Hi all,

I have calculated the value for PMHF_estimated in a profile property 'pmhf_est'. Now I want to sum the values for the failure rates for the component.

I have the following Java Script with is summing the spfFailureRates for the component but I get the script not modified for the values in the profile property 'pmhf_est'

calculatePmhf(self);

The sum for spfFailureRate shall be replaced by sum of pmhf_est. In the example above the sum shall show the same value as in the left column.

How need the script be modified?

You may also limit the .add() function to a certain precision already, so use add(BigDecimal, MathContext), see https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/math/BigDecimal.html#add-java.math.BigDecimal-java.math.MathContext-

thank you for the quick reply. I have modified the Script to:

calculatePmhf(self);

Now the pmhf_est is summed. How can the result be reformated to reduce the numbers behind the decimal point?

Ok, got it.

I think the only differenceis that standard properties are of type BigDecimal already, and you can add them as you have done in your snippet.

For derived properties, they most likely are of type "string" or - if OCL is used - they might be a "number".

My proposal:

* make sure its a string for example by using

var pmhf = '' + element.user_pmhf; // make sure we convert it to a string

* use parseBigDecimal to convert taht string to a BigDecimal

var mphf = parseBigDecimal('' + element.user_pmhf);

Then add normally. Note that I did not knwo how your attribute is named, so I used "user_pmhf". And "parseBigDecimal" was introduced with 20 R2 I think.

If you dont have that, you can use new java.math.BigDecimal(...).
